Industrial tubular heaters are highly adaptable to most applications where electrical heating is required. They can be used in their straight form or bent into various shapes. Tubular heaters can be used in free air, clamped to a surface, placed inside a groove or cast into metal. These versatile heating elements are available in Steel, Copper, Stainless Steel or Incoloy outside sheath and can be utilized in application temperatures of up to 14000oF

Mica heaters are efficient and economical solutions to the heating requirements of many applications. Mica heaters can attain a maximum sheath temperature of 900°F, but with different electrical termination styles, clamping mechanisms, and ability to accommodate holes and cutouts, mica band heaters are successfully used in many applications, but are mostly sought for in the plastics industry.

The Duopu cartridge heater revolutionized the heating element industry when it was patented as the first swaged cartridge heater. The mechanical procedure of swaging reduces the diameter of the heater by compacting the unit; this directly improves the heat transfer and efficiency of the heater.

Duopu cartridge heaters are built using only the finest materials and construction methods and are backed with extensive quality assurance programs. With premium materials and tight manufacturing controls, the Duopu heater provides superior heat transfer, uniform temperatures, resistance to oxidation and corrosion and a long life even at high temperatures.

Duopu offers many delivery programs to meet your needs.

PT100 probe
Platinum resistance thermometers (PRTs) offer excellent accuracy over a wide temperature range (from –200 to +850 °C). Standard sensors are are available from many manufacturers with various accuracy specifications and numerous packaging options to suit most applications. Unlike thermocouples, it is not necessary to use special cables to connect to the sensor.

The principle of operation is to measure the resistance of a platinum element. The most common type (PT100) has a resistance of 100 ohms at 0 °C and 138.4 ohms at 100 °C. There are also PT1000 sensors that have a resistance of 1000 ohms at 0 °C.

The relationship between temperature and resistance is approximately linear over a small temperature range: for example, if you assume that it is linear over the 0 to 100 °C range, the error at 50 °C is 0.4 °C. For precision measurement, it is necessary to linearise the resistance to give an accurate temperature. The most recent definition of the relationship between resistance and temperature is International Temperature Standard 90 (ITS-90).

Ceramic infrared heat elements are efficient, robust heaters which provide long wave infrared radiation. The ceramic heaters and infrared heaters are used in a diverse range of industrial and engineering applications such as thermoforming heaters, packaging and as heaters for paint curing, printing and drying. They are also used very effectively in infrared outdoor heaters and infrared saunas. Ceramic elements produced by Duopu include ceramic trough elements, ceramic hollow elements, ceramic flat elements, and ceramic infrared bulbs.

Duopu infrared heat technology provides solutions for infrared heating elements in China and distribute to many countries around the world including ceramic elements, heaters, infrared heating elements and infrared bulbs China and worldwide.

Long Wave Ceramic Infrared Emitters are robust, standardized and very competitively priced. At 300 °C to 900 °C the ceramic heaters emit medium to long wave IR-radiation between 2 and 10 μm. Most plastics and many other materials absorb this wave length range very well. We supply two basic types: Solid Ceramic Emitters and Hollow Ceramic Emitters. The latter have a hollow space behind the heating coil that provides shorter heat-up and cool-down times and less heating losses to the rear. Both are available in standard dimensions either with or without thermocouples. Furthermore, matching accessories like reflectors are also available. These ensure that a radiation output of over 95 % can be directed to the front of the emitting surface.

Thermocouple Probes are designed for use in extreme temperatures, up to 2315°C (4200°F). These probes utilize either Platinum/Rhodium (types R, S, or B) or Tungsten/Rhenium (types G, C, or D) elements, with a variety of insulations and sheath materials. Depending upon the sheath material selected, these probes may be used in inert, oxidizing, reducing or vacuum conditions. The maximum temperature is based on the lowest max. temperature of the element, insulation and sheath material. Five cold end probe terminations are available: replacement probe, subminiature or standard size ceramic connector, heavy-duty standard size, molybdenum-sheathed nylon connector, or transition joint.
High Temperature Thermocouples are specifically designed for durability and reliability in high temperature applications to 4200° F (2315° C). Such applications generally involve oxidizing, reducing, inert gas or contamination atmospheres that challenge the life of the thermocouple.

Flanged heaters are commonly used in many chemical, petroleum and water based applications. Consisting normally of an ANSI rated flange with several hairpin elements or bugle tubular elements extending from the face of the flange, this electric heater uses direct heat application to the liquid medium. A thermowell is often used within the bundle of elements to allow for a probe (either a thermocouple, RTD or basic mechanical thermostat) to relay temperature readings to a digital control panel that cycles and maintains the desired target temperature. Often a high limit sensor is also used to help protect liquid mediums from over heating and, offers protection to the flange heater as well.

This can be seen in our energy efficient industrial heaters.

Ceramic heaters are medium-to-high temperature heaters that can deliver up to 1200°F. The nickel-chrome heating cores of these durable heaters are placed inside interlocking ceramic tiles that are assembled like a brick wall. A ceramic fiber insulating mat and a stainless steel jacket cover this assembly. This construction makes ceramic heaters flexible and highly energy efficient. An energized ceramic heater that operates at 1200°F internally will have around 400°F on its outside shell. Ceramic heaters consume 20 % less energy than band heaters that are not insulated.

An additional advantage of Ceramic heaters is that they transfer heat through conduction and radiation. This makes their tightness on barrels less critical; thus they are less prone to thermal expansion problems.

Cartridge heaters are high-density heating cells that have their nickel chrome heating cores positioned internally as close as possible to the outside shell. The specially formulated MgO electrical insulating medium utilized inside a cartridge heater is transformed into a rock-hard, highly efficient heat transferring medium through a special cold forming process.

Cartridge heaters can withstand tough industrial usage; they can transmit up to 200 watts/in2 heating capacity and are able to attain up to 1500°F sheath temperature. In order to facilitate installation and heat transmission, cartridge heaters are made 0.004 inches less than the nominal size of the receptacle hole, with a tolerance of +/- 0.002 in. Standard Bucan cartridge heaters are supplied with electrical leads that are connected internally within a 3/8 inch cold section. In excessively hot applications, the length of this cold section could be increased.

Cartridge heaters can be dual-voltage, three-phase, and/or supplied with a ground terminal. With ten different termination styles, mounting attachments and various optional features, Bucan high-density cartridge heaters are widely used in numerous high temperature industrial applications

 Mica Band Heater
Mica heaters are efficient and economical solutions to the heating requirements of many  applications. Mica heaters can attain a maximum sheath temperature of 900°F, but with different  electrical termination styles, clamping mechanisms, and ability to accommodate holes and  cutouts, mica band heaters are successfully used in many applications, but are mostly sought  for in the plastics industry.

Mica heaters made by DUOPU utilize different types of top grade mica. The thickness of each  mica layer is carefully selected in order to balance between the insulating characteristics of mica  and the ease of heat transfer from the heating core to the machine barrel.

The resistance wire ribbon used in a DUOPU mica heater is not restricted to the capabilities of  Nichrome wire. Different alloys are considered for different applications. The internal winding is  carefully designed to ensure uniform heat distribution throughout the band heater. To maximize  the surface-to-surface contact, our mica heaters are carefully rounded and formed to optimize  the grip on a machine barrel. The external metallic protective sheath of DUOPU band heaters is  made of a special alloy, which expands less than the barrel when heated. This difference in  thermal expansion makes the heater grip the barrel firmly once it is energized. This improves  heat transfer which extends the life of the mica band heater.

Our flexible ceramic pad heater, also called ceramic mat heater, is manufactured with quality       multi-strand 80/20 nichrome heating wire(NiCr80/20)and high alumina ceramic beads. It has       standard 9″ cold tail length which is welded to the heating wire with pure nickle wire to keep the   60A brass camlock connector from being heated .

The ceramic bead is made of sintered 95% alumina(95% Al2O3). It enjoys high temperature       resistance, excellent insulating property, and efficient thermal conductivity, which provides        “FCP” heaters with exceptional electrical insulation, and thermal shock resistance and thermal     conductivity qualities.

Designed for pre and post weld heat treatments (PWHT), our flexible ceramic pad heaters        (FCP heater) functions efficiently whether they are used in a curved or flat application, and are     available in an extensive list of sizes with voltages ranging from 30 volts to 255 volts, using         different connectors among different countries, either Engligh camlock connector, or DINSE      welding cable connectors.

We are ready to make any custom design heater as well.

k type thermocouples usually work in most applications as they are nickel based and exhibit good corrosion resistance. It is the most common sensor calibration type providing the widest operating temperature range. Due to its reliability and accuracy the Type K thermocouple is used extensively at temperatures up to 1200°C. This type of thermocouple should be protected with a suitable metal or ceramic protection tube, especially in reducing atmospheres. In oxidizing atmospheres, such as electric furnaces, tube protection is not always necessary when other conditions are suitable; however, it is recommended for cleanliness and general mechanical protection. Type K will generally outlast Type J because the JP wire rapidly oxidizes, especially at higher temperatures.
